THE ONLY CATCH

All we ask is
a link back.

We keep the lights on by helping people find good hosting. So instead of a bill, we ask charities to add a small link to Webfort somewhere on their website — usually in the footer.

  • A single, tasteful link — no banners or ads on your site.
  • Paste the snippet below, or write your own wording.
  • That's it — no monthly fee, ever, while the link stays live.

HOW IT WORKS

Live in four simple steps

1

Apply

Fill in the short form below with your charity name, registration number and a contact email. Takes about two minutes.

2

We verify your charity

We check your registration number against the public register. No paperwork, no phone calls — we just confirm you're a genuine registered charity.

3

Your site goes live, free

We set up your free QuickStart account and send your login. Move an existing site over (we'll help), or start fresh with 1-click WordPress.

4

Add the link back

Pop the Webfort link on your website — footer is perfect. That's the only thing we ask, and your hosting stays free for as long as it's there.

Common questions

Frequently Asked

What counts as a registered charity?
Any organisation with a charity registration number from a UK regulator — the Charity Commission for England & Wales, OSCR in Scotland, or CCNI in Northern Ireland. If you have a number from one of those, you qualify.
Is it really free? Are there any hidden costs?
Genuinely free. No setup fee, no card required, and no monthly bill for the QuickStart plan. The only thing we ask is a link back to Webfort on your website. Domain registration is separate if you need one — but the hosting itself is on us.
Where do we put the link back?
Anywhere visible on your website works, but a footer link is perfect. We give you a ready-made snippet to paste, or you're welcome to write your own wording — as long as it links to webfort.co.uk.
Can we choose UK or US servers?
Yes. We host in London and Dallas, and you pick your region when your site goes live. Most UK charities choose London.
What if we outgrow the QuickStart plan?
QuickStart handles most charity websites comfortably. If you grow and need more resources, you can move up to a larger plan at any time, at our standard prices.
Can you move our existing website over?
Yes. Once you're approved, our UK team moves your current site across, and live traffic switches when you say so. Tell us your current host in the message box on the form.
