Installing Free SSL Certificate

SSL certificates encrypt traffic between your website and visitors. All sites should use HTTPS.

Auto-Install SSL

  1. Log into cPanel
  2. Go to Security > SSL/TLS Status
  3. Check boxes next to domains you want to secure
  4. Click Run AutoSSL
  5. Wait 30-60 seconds for installation

Status will change to green checkmark when complete.

Force HTTPS

After SSL is installed, force all traffic to use HTTPS:

  1. Go to Domains > Domains
  2. Click Manage next to your domain
  3. Toggle Force HTTPS Redirect to ON
  4. Click Save

Verify SSL

  • Visit https://yourdomain.com
  • Look for padlock icon in browser address bar
  • Certificate should show as valid

Let's Encrypt certificates auto-renew every 60 days. No action needed from you.
