Setting Up Redirects
Redirects automatically send visitors from one URL to another (e.g., old page to new page, or non-www to www).
Creating a Redirect
- Log into cPanel
- Go to Domains > Redirects
- Choose redirect type:
- Permanent (301): For permanent moves, best for SEO
- Temporary (302): For temporary redirects
- Select domain to redirect from
- Enter the path (or leave blank for entire domain)
- Enter destination URL (full URL including https://)
- Choose redirect options:
- www. redirection: Apply to www and non-www
- Wild Card Redirect: Redirect all files in directory
- Click Add
Common Redirects
- Non-WWW to WWW: Redirect yourdomain.com to www.yourdomain.com
- Old domain to new: Redirect olddomain.com to newdomain.com
- Single page: Redirect /old-page to /new-page
Managing Redirects
Scroll down to see all active redirects. Click Delete to remove any redirect.
