If you’ve forgotten or lost your DirectAdmin password, you can reset it using your client area, from within DirectAdmin (if still logged in), or by contacting our support team.
Reset via your client area
- Log in to your client area.
- Open your hosting package.
- Select Reset DirectAdmin password and follow the prompts to generate a new one.
Change it from within DirectAdmin (if you can log in)
- Log in to DirectAdmin.
- Open Password or Change Password in the main menu.
- Enter your current password, choose a strong new password, and save.
If you’re locked out completely
If you can’t access either your client area or DirectAdmin, contact our support team and we’ll reset it securely after verification.
Password best practices
- Use a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Avoid dictionary words or anything easily guessed.
- Do not reuse your DirectAdmin password on other services.
